Absolutely Fabulous

I’ve got to say that I’m just a tad obessed with this stamp set! I simply adore it! I hope alot of you do as well because I’m going to be featuring it alot!

For this card, I changed the colors up a bit then what I used last time. Honestly, I like the other colors better but you’ll find out what you like and what you don’t by playing around so I’m glad I took the time to find that out :)

Thanks for looking! I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start!

Even with being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I like to dabble into my old collection of stamps (which is very few because I use to be horrid at stamping until Stampin’ Up!). This is a set called “Because of You” by Verve stamps! I highly recommend them if you want good clear stamps and unique designs! They are truly amazing!

Because of you - Verve

This card uses Regal Rose and Old Olive ink, paper, and ribbon :)

Enjoy!!

With it already being July (where the heck did the time go?!) I needed to get to work on my beautiful niece’s birthday card who will be turning 3 on the 27th! It’s amazing how time flies by! I remember like it was yesterday being at the hospital awaiting her arrival while her cousin Caleb (my oldest) was born just a month and half before her! To think that what was our youngest are now our oldest and 3 years has really gone by. Now, we’ve both had our second child  just months apart again and they are both over a year, *sigh*

I knew from the start that when you become a parent that time flies and before you can grasp what has happened your children are fully grown and doing their own thing. I’m going to remain in “denial” as long as I can because I don’t want to picture my babies all grown up just yet!

And finally here is her card :)

Bitty Birthday

Bitty Birthday (114934) stamp set along with Pink Passion, Green Galore, and Tempting Turquoise were used :) I’ve got to say I actually love this color combo together. To get the film strip look, I used a punch called Spiral (108341) it’s pretty neat, I’m sure I’ll love coming up with new ideas using this punch! I stamped the images with Stazon black ink on watercolor paper(105019) used the same three colored crayons as paper and blended with our Blender pens (102845). It’s a very simple and yet satisfy technique when you are trying to achieve a watercolor look!

That I have quite a few projects going on at the moment, I will try and post in the next couple of days but if I don’t I hope you understand why!

I’m currently working on a wedding scrapbook, 40 baby shower invites, and then once I get these accomplished working on my upcoming class schedule, getting my Club details worked out more with my first meeting coming up quickly! Lots of stuff! So please bear with me :)

Hope ya’ll are enjoying your fabulous July weekend :)

Baby Onsies

These are the baby shower cards that I am working on :) I’m awaiting the arrival of the stamps that should be here on Tuesday!! I can’t wait to show you and her the finished product!

A continuation from last night into this morning with using the stamp set Greenhouse Garden (113824) and left over Little Leaves (114511) this is what I’ve come up with. It is once again another 4″ x 4″ card. I’m thinking of making this into a gift set. If any of you would be intrested in that please let me know :)

Greenhouse Garden/Teeny Tiny Wishes

For the large flower the bottom color is Pink Passion (101212) followed by Melon Mambo (115658) stamped on top. The medium flowers are Orchid Opulence (101859) with Rich Razzleberry (115658) on top. Last but not least the small flowers are Crushed Curry (115659) on bottom and Mellow Moss (102774) on top!

Okay ladies and gentlemen, today, well..has been chaotic to say the least. I ended up in the hospital this morning with a UTI. Came home and started taking my antibiotics and the day was going great, I was feeling better and then it happened. My lovely adorable sweet daughter pushed my Big Shot off of my bed and on top of her brother’s head *sigh* that ended in blood everywhere, me yelling for a good friend who is staying with me to grab paper towels and to hurry upstairs. Caleb is doing okay, if he moves wrong his head splits open and blood goes every where again so if it’s not doing better by morning we’ll be going to get stitches. We all hear that Karma is a wench and she catches up to you at some point right?! Who knew it’d come knocking only a hour later to my daughter. She fell off of our back porch and bit so hard into her lip that she split it right in half *double sigh*

So for today, it’s all been one big laugh but with lots of blood. Caleb is my little trooper, the kid has such a pain tolerance, I am really amazed he wasn’t freaking out more then what he did with all of the blood. He cried for about 30 seconds when the Big Shot first landed on his head but as soon as I applied pressure he was doing well. As for Chloe she did great too but couldn’t figure out where her breath went she fell! They both got Tylenol and are doing great now but I am still waking Caleb up every few hours to check on him.

Now to the GOOD part of the day :) I was able to sit down tonight and get a card made. Just one because I’m tired, worried, and stressed so much that my OCD is kicking into overdrive and if what I want done is not perfect I’m throwing it in the trash and starting over and I don’t want that! Luckily this is my first attempt at this card and I think it came out well, what do you think?

Greenhouse Garden/FYI

Greenhouse Garden (113824) on page 94 of the new 2009/2010 catalog is featured here along with FYI (114365) on page 144. They are both new sets and are both amazingly awesome :P I love the flowers in Greenhouse Garden, there is so much you can do with them and this is only the start to what I will feature with both of these sets. Little Leaves Sizzlit (114511) was also used for the leaves. I used Melon Mambo for the base of the flower (Greenhouse Garden is a two step stamp set) and Rich Razzleberry on top.

IMG_1265With me still having baby fever and the final decision being made that we’re sticking to our two children, I’ve been baby crazy lately. I came up with this card (I’ve seen something like it, and if I run across who first made the card, I will gladly give credit where credit is due, but I did make my own tutorial, go me!) that can easily work for invites to a baby shower to welcoming a new bundle of joy home from the hospital!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

If you would like the Tutorial please email as I cannot for the life of me figure out how to attach it to this post!

It is beyond warm here and is not cooling down any time soon! As nice as it feels, I wish Alaska knew what air conditioning was, LOL!

As promised, I said by the latest of Tuesday I would have up the Card Stock Rings that I’ve been working on, posted and I’m not going to start breaking promises now! Here it is :)

Card Stock Ring

Front of Card Stock Ring

Open

Open, sorta :p

Open fully

Open fully where you can see on the start of a new color category I have all of the “packs or sets” that you can get for that color category. On the actual color itself there is a list of all inks, markers, and paper you can get. I’m currently working on adding ribbon, and accessories to the opposite side of the color as well :)

And a bonus card that I made today. I cased it straight out of the Stampin’ Up 2010 Catalog

Thank you card

To make the thank you letters I used Stampin’ Ups new set of Medium sizzlits called Timeless Type Alphabet (115951). It’s a set of 12 dies with a few extra shapes other then both capital and lower case letters! The leaves were made out of another exclusive Stampin’ Up! sizzlit die called Little Leaves (114511)!
