I {Heart} Hearts, I {Love} Love Jumbo Wheel, Well Scripted Sneak Peeks!

Another challenge is what inspired this card. A Challenge on Late Night Stampers to be exact. This week was a Hugs & Kisses theme. For that obviously I had to do something Valentines day and of course I have some more sneak peek stamp sets for just that!

I’ve used the new I {Love} Love Jumbo Wheel for the background on my Melon Mambo paper to give the card a little extra which I think just really made it pop. Also the hearts on this card belong to the set I {Heart} Hearts. I love when the stamp set and the wheel match. It makes my life much easier :)

As you can see in the left hand picture, I hand stitched around the Melon Mambo to create a unique border.

You can also see how using Melon Mambo ink or Melon Mambo card stock adds a little but doesn’t over do it when it came down to me using the I {Love} Love Jumbo Wheel.

For the heart in the middle where I stamped the saying from Well Scripted, I stamped the heart in Mellow Moss, stamped off onto my scratch piece of white paper and then stamped (without reinking) right onto where I had already stamped Love You Much. It faded into the background nicely without overpowering the words which is what I was going for.

This would be the one where I drew on the stitches with our white uni-ball gel pen. I couldn’t decide which one I liked better so I’m showing both of them to you for you to make up your minds.

Here are a few additional shots of the hand drawn on stitches. It’s ten times easier and sometimes looks better depending on how steady your hand is :P I know when I’m sewing or hand stitching without fail I’ll get one line that is crooked. And that one line I have to go back and fix or it’ll drive me bonkers!

On the right hand photo is another close up of what the I {Love} Love Jumbo wheel looks like along with a close up of the Chocolate Chip Bow.

Here is the inside that I created for both of the cards.  Something simple that leaves enough room to add your own personal message. Now that I’ve got this challenge completed I think I may do one last one today before getting ready for tonights buffet! We’ll see how things go after a quick trip into town to grab some Club Soda!

Enjoy the rest of your day and I hope you liked todays post!

Messages for Mom, Well Scripted, Beautiful Wings, Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder Sneak Peeks!

Good morning everyone! It’s finally Friday (only be 5 minutes for myself, but nonetheless it’s Friday and my husband has the day off, woohoo). I hope everyone has some amazing weekend plans and if you don’t I hope you enjoy a wonderful relaxing weekend at home catching up on stuff that couldn’t be done during the week.

Today I participated in another new challenge on the Cards & Things Challenge Blog. This weeks theme was a color them consisting of the following colors

And here is my entry

I wasn’t sure that I was going to like this color combination but it grew on me as I was assembling this card. The stamp set Messages for Mom was used again. Although in the last post all I used was a phrase from this set, this is one of the actual floral images that is beautiful.

For me personally Stampin’ Up! coming out with this swirly handwriting was a jump for joy moment. I love Teeny Tiny Wishes that has a million different sayings and some different fonts but I can’t get enough of these big swirly makes you smile every time you see it fonts. Maybe it’s just me!

The right hand picture gives you a close up and great detail on one of brand new Scallop Corner Punches along with the new Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder! All of these brand new items will be available for you customers in early January. I hope my post’s and showing off some of the new product is helping you in your choices of what to buy.

Now that it’s 1230am here I think I’m going to go snag my darling husband off the couch and tell him it’s time for bed!

Can’t wait to wake up to see all of the brand new stuff that has been posted and blog hop for awhile :)

With All My Heart, Vintage Vogue, & Beautiful Wings Sneak Peek Card Share

Wow today has been a very busy yet exciting day! I’ve got a couple more sneak peeks for you that I hope you enjoy. I did use Vintage Vogue again because honestly it’s my favorite new set so far and I will most likely continue to use it :P Here is my first card with that set

Isn’t this set so elegant and vintagy? Love it..just incase I haven’t said it before. Here are a few more additional shots

Most of the time I think my work is okay and nothing great but I’m really pleased with how this card turned out.

I orginally started this card because I was going to try and follow Gretchen Barrons stamping challenge that she posted to her blog today but didn’t follow the layout. It’s close but not exact which happens when you envision something and just have to go for it.

I’ve used colors Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Soft Suede. The greeting on this set belongs to God’s Blessing. It’s another new set that I’ve recently gotten my inky fingers on.

Now this next card is not orginally designed me but a fellow stamper who does some truly amazing work, Ilina Crouse. When she posted it to our Late Night Stampers group I emailed her back and told her consider herself cased due to the sheer beauty of this card.

Striking isn’t it? Who wouldn’t want to case this card? If you say no, there is something serious wrong with you :P

This card uses the brand new set With All My Heart along with a new Sizzlit embossing die called Beautiful Wings and that’s for a good reason. These butterflies are more then I was expecting Stampin’ Up! to come out with and I think this will be one that is favorited by many.

The color combination alone stands out perfectly. I’m tellin’ ya Ilina makes some fantastic work, if you haven’t checked out her blog you should so so. Just click on her name above as I have it linked to her blog for your convince ;)

The colors that were used here are Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, and Old Olive.

The only difference between her card and mine are she actually remembered to order the new scallop border punch that we were able to pre-order and I didn’t. So..that left me with using my old scallop border punch (which is the one in the current catalog). Also on the card above I used larger butterflies next to the Friend stamp but below I have used the smaller ones that she did.

See smaller butterflies!

Here is one last additional shot before I get back to crafting, well right after I put my darling children down for the night.

This came out to be my favorite shot of the whole night so of course I had to share it.

Until tomorrow (or maybe a late night post for me here in Alaska) enjoy the rest of your night and happy Friday!

Vintage Vogue Sneak Peek!

I cannot wait for January to arrive for all of you wonderful customers to be able to get your hands on these brand new stamp sets along with tons of new accessories! As many of you have heard Stampin’ Up! has gone to CLEAR mounted stamp sets BUT you can also still purchase these stamps on the wood block mounting if you would like. What I mean by clear mounted is we still have the traditional red rubber stamps as always but we now have a cling foam on the back of those red rubber stamps to hold onto a clear mounted block so you can finally see what your doing!

Many people are overjoyed that Stampin’ Up! finally listened to your requests. Without further ado here is one of the brand new stamp sets called Vintage Vogue

Isn’t it just beautiful?! I used colors Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, and Crushed Curry.

I am sooo excited about the new Occassions Mini Catalog!!  I hope all of you are too because there are great things coming with it which also means great changes for our normal full year catalog!

I also used another NEW set on this card which is called Messages For Mom. The phrase, ” Thank you for always being there” came from that set and is actually in one big long sentence.

All that I did was inked it up the words that I wanted in that line and stamped away. It’s not perfect but it’s close enough!

Well that’s it for this post! I’ve got 9 brand new stamp sets other then this one that need some attention too, along with lots of other new goodies! Awww, how I love a early Christmas!

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek and are looking forward to more :)

Thinking of You Card Share

Tonights post is a quick and simple card share. I’ve been rather occupied all day getting things ready for this weeks events along with fulfilling some orders for invites and what not. That and taking some time to relax after a some what stressful morning.

I used the stamp set Greenhouse Garden along with a current in-color, Melon Mambo

I used Certain Celery for the stems on the flowers along with a second in-color, Rich Razzleberry for the center of the flowers. This set is a two step stamping set and is quite beautiful when used with the right color combinations.

This will be the final card for my buffet for Friday. I’ve got to finish getting all of those cards cut and then get ready for Saturdays buffet! I’m excited. But I’ve got to say that I’m even more excited for some wonderful news that us Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators get to be sharing with you shortly! Keep checking back in the next few days for that exciting news :)

Belated Happy Thanksgiving

Since I didn’t post on Thanksgiving I wanted to say to all of you, I hope it was a wonderful and tasty Thanksgiving and that you all are enjoying your left overs.

Thanksgiving here was quite a whirlwind. I started cooking on Wednesday and didn’t stop cooking until 4pm on Thanksgiving day when everyone sat down to enjoy their meals. It was a fabulous time as over half of my husbands Unit attended, which put the total just shy of 15 people. My darling husband was scared to death that he was going to mess up the Turkey as this was the first Thanksgiving that we either haven’t been home for or he’s been deployed for. He was rather relieved with it turned out just perfectly.

The days following Thanksgiving I started getting sick. Well, I say sick but my body is just feeling off. It’s not a head cold and I’m not really sick like flu sick either. My body keeps going from hot to cold, to shivers, to back to hot then cold and repeat for about 3 days. It’s been interesting and my only symptom so it doesn’t seem like something is terribly wrong. No one else in the house seems to be feeling ucky either so hopefully whatever I have, if I have anything will be gone with some more rest.

I’ve been needing to finish up my buffet cards for this coming Friday and honestly didn’t realize that it was Sunday today! The time just flew by from Thanksgiving on.

Here is one of the Thank You cards that I came up with for this buffet

I used my stamp set Cheep Talk for the very first time. Well I guess that’s not entirely true. I should say it’s the first time I’ve used it and post a project on my blog with it.

The colors that I used here were, Chocolate Chip (as always! I don’t think there is a project where I don’t use this color), Taken with Teal, and Real Red.

To add a little extra to the card I add some stitched Chocolate Chip ribbon behind the Top Note Die.

I still feel their may be something missing but it’ll have to do for now. It’s not my best work by far but I’ll have it perfected by Friday! Not only do I have a buffet on Friday but I also have one on Saturday! So it’s going to be a busy but enjoyful, hopefully, weekend with lots of creating and girl time.

I hope everyone enjoys the start to a new week, is still chowing down on those tasty leftovers, and is preparing for Christmas which will be here before we know! I know I’m still working on my family Christmas cards that I desperately need to get out this week.

Oh! Don’t forget about our Black Friday sales running until tomorrow! Here is the link if you need it, we’ve got some amazing deals running ;)

Spot On Birthday

With it being the holiday season and making hundreds of holiday cards I thought it was time for a switch up. That and I have a few birthdays coming up that I needed to make cards for, so of course today was perfect for just that.

I used our Jumbo Wheel Spot On as the background for these cards along with a brand new stamp set that I got due to using it in My Digital Studio so much.

That new stamp set is Enjoy Every Moment. I’m completely and totally in love with it and am currently working on 6 different boxed sets with it! Lots of work but I can’t help myself, this set is amazing :)

The sample above was done in Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, and Whisper White.

For these two cards which are idenctical to the one above all besides the white gel pen designs on the far left hand side of them. Also I tried out different styles of the white and brown layers for the word Enjoy. Does that make sense? If not hopefully you can see it in the photos. I did different sizes so the scalloped edges of each would fall differently to see where I like it the best and I’ve got to say that I enjoy the Tempting Turquoise one the best.

The card on the left is done in Gable Green with the card on the right being done in Cameo Coral. Which I’ve got to say is a personal favorite color of mine.

These cards have also come in handy as I’ve had a friend request some sample birthday cards so hopefully she likes this design herself :)

Only one more day until Thanksgiving! I hope all of you are prepared, have all the shopping done and are ready to start on some cooking tomorrow!

Baby Boy Baby Shower Invite

I have numerous friends that have recently learned the sex of their little babies, and oddly enough most of them are having baby boys. It’s the opposite of what I’m use to but it’s not a bad change, just different.

Here is a baby shower invite that I came up with tonight. What do you think?

I saw a card similar to this and had to try my hand at it. I think it turned out fairly well and absolutely love the style of it. I will be trying out a few different cards like this soon :)

To the left you can see what the invitation looks like when you pull it up and out of the card. I’m not thrilled with the star stamps on the invitation itself and will continue to play around with the design a little more.

On the right you can see a up-close shot of the bear from the set Teddy & Trains. I watercolored it with Water Color Pencils. Personally, I prefer watercoloring with the ink pad and blender pen itself but tonight I decided to use this technique.

For the stitching I used our white uni-ball gel pen and did “faking stitching” meaning that I didn’t obviously use my sewing machine but drew them on by hand to give it the look of actual stitches. Now whether or not they actually look like the real thing is up to all of you!

The photo above shows what the invitation looks only half way out of the holder so you can get a idea how I’ve made this card. If you would instructions please feel free to ask :)

Once again everyone have a wonderful night.

A daughter is a joy forever

Tonight I did another layout page for my daughters scrapbook. Well I should say redid it with Stampin’ Up! products! My husband laughs at me for redoing it just to use our wonderful items but now with doing that I can show them off while still being able to sell those items. Now if only that worked for tonights layout. I used some retired designer series paper, A Walk in the Park again, just as I did with yesterday’s layout.

I love these colors together, it’s too bad that two of them retired as last years in-colors. For the letters I used our Timeless Type Sizzlit Alphabet with Basic Gray card stock. Once all my letters were cut out, I took our En Francais background stamp and stamped my letters with basic gray classic ink. Here is a more detailed photo of that.

Hopefully this photo gives you a good view of what I was talking about with the letters.

I think it gives it a subtle touch without adding too much to the page.

Using the Pretties Kit, I used some half back pearls in the center of the flowers along on the center of the butterflies. I’m not too sure I’m going to leave the butterflies yet..that’s still to be determined! The flowers are apart of the Pretties Kit as well. They come in white but I took Cameo Coral and So Saffron classic ink and dabbed a sponge in them and then applied that ink to the flowers to make them the color that I wanted. You can do this to make the customer color you want.

Tomorrow I think I may start in on my sons scrapbook or even some more of my husband and I’s. I guess only tomorrow will tell with our weekend being over and daddy going back to work. That usually makes for less time for mommy in the craft room.

Until then, enjoy the start to your week everyone :)
